One of the founding fathers of "Techno Napolitano" is behind the decks at the very town that marked one part of the techno music history. No other town had such a unique sound in electronic music of the late 90's and at the beginning of the 21st century the way Naples did. Alongside Marco Carola, Rino Cerrone, Danilo Vigorito and many others, Gaetano Parisio, at that time known as Gaetech, is one of the artists that left a large number of timeless tracks from that period.
This set is a bit different than his earlier sound, that many older techno fans cherish to date. He selected the tracks that are much slower, following the current trends in techno music. The funk is still there, but the sound is deeper. The thing that is missing the most are the melancholic synth phrases that were essential to the sound of Napoli, but with a reason. In the tracks of that time those phrases stud in contrast with the powerful and percussive beats, and that made sense cause it portrayed both sides of techno, both powerful and rough and emotional melancholic side. Todays techno music is much calmer and these tones will be to much, the sound would be too sad.
I leave it to you to decide, which period of Geatech's work you like the best, enjoy!
