Dave Angel is a long lasting name on electronic music scene. Many consider him a techno legend. Influenced by funk and jazz, he released music on labels such as Black Market, Love, Rotation, R&S Records... Started in 1990 with his "Nightmare Mix" of Sweet Dreams by Eurythmics and released 50+ releases since. Dave had a rich international DJ career and has released a number of DJ mixes.

39 Flavours of Tech Funk is a double CD DJ mix released in 1998 on React label. It is a compilation of funky techno sound of that time based around Dave Angel's own production. Very uplifting, funky and melodic. Apart from Dave's tracks there is a representative sample of top producers of that moment, that time of you may remember: Ian Pooley, Olav Basoski, Christian Smith, Mark Seven, Peace Division, Luke Slater...
